New Ford Bronco Sport

Exploring the New 2021 Ford Bronco Sport

Ford made a splash in industry earlier this year with the unveiling of vehicles. While the 2021 Bronco offers a pure off-road experience, the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is here for adventurous drivers who want off-road capability with comfort and efficiency for everyday applications. The smaller, well-rounded SUV has been designed to handle just about everything with a spacious cabin, rugged looks, and robust capability to back it all up.

Versatile, Rugged Capability

The Bronco Sport is different from its larger counterpart in its engineering and design. The model uses a unibody design and independent suspension setup that provide a comfortable on-road ride quality. But this car-based engineering doesn't stop the Bronco Sport from delivering impressive all-terrain performance.

Ford offers standard four-wheel drive on every trim of the Bronco Sport. This four-wheel drive system spreads torque around to all four wheels to help tackle all sorts of terrain. Ford also offers G.O.A.T. (Go Over Any Type of Terrain) modes that can tailor performance to the conditions in front of you.

Furthermore, all new Bronco Sport models come standard with 7.8 inches of ground clearance and 23.6 inches of water fording capability.

Trail Control can be a helpful feature as well. This optional system maintains a set speed automatically while you focus on steering your way through the obstacle.

If you're looking for the stoutest off-road capability, take a look at the Bronco Sport Badlands. This particular model is equipped with a Twin-Clutch Rear Drive unit that can divert almost all torque to a single rear wheel.

Powering these models is one of two engine options. The base 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine makes a healthy 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque, while the available 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine makes 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque.

Adventurous Looks and Features

It's easy to tell from just a look that the new 2021 Bronco Sport has outdoor life in mind.

Ford designed the model with a classic boxy SUV shape that points to a more rugged personality than the typical modern crossover. The Bronco name is fitted boldly across the grille and framed by circular LED running lights. A safari style roof has a load capacity of up to 150 pounds.

Ford has taken the time to design a unique cabin for the Bronco Sport as well. Much like the Escape, the Bronco Sport offers two rows of seats and room for five passengers.

But the Bronco Sport has a much more rugged appearance and features like easy-cleaning floor mats to back it up. Its tall Safari-style roof, built-in cargo management system, fold-flat rear seats, and under-seat storage make for a supremely practical space as well. In fact, the new Bronco Sport offers more than 65 cubic feet of cargo space.
